ATTENTION GIRLS WRESTLING TEAMS!

Newark Memorial High School is proud to host, with the assistance of WrestlingMart and the Newark Rotary Club, the 33rd Annual Rich Swift Memorial Ironman Wrestling Duals on Saturday, December 11, 2021, in Newark, California, which is located 15 miles north of San Jose and 20 miles south of Oakland.

Rich Swift, a member of the California Wrestling Hall of Fame, was an outstanding teacher, coach, athletic director, and wrestling tournament director in Newark for 30+ years who passed away in 2013. Wrestling IS humankind’s oldest and greatest sport and that means for EVERYBODY! The girls and boys tournament will be run side by side so it could be an excellent opportunity to get both squads in action at the same time in the same place.

Read the details below and respond as quickly as possible. The first 6 schools to respond and submit payment will be guaranteed spots.

Dual meet tournaments are especially beneficial early in the season as they allow your team to stay together throughout the day as they encourage and support each other and bond as a team.

The NM Event Center is a GREAT venue for wrestling. The tournament WILL BE well organized, the awards first class and the competition will be solid.
